House Rules
To maintain a safe, professional, and peaceful environment for all braiders and their clients, the following rules must be followed at all times. Violations may result in revoked booking privileges with no refunds.
1. Professional Conduct
-
Profanity, gossip, or disruptive behavior is strictly prohibited.
-
All braiders must maintain a respectful, positive attitude toward clients, fellow braiders, and the space.
2. Clean Music Only
-
Only clean, non-explicit music may be played aloud.
-
Please use headphones if your music contains profanity or is disruptive to others.
3. Always get Consent to film
-
You may not film or photograph other braiders or clients without their explicit consent.
-
Content creation is encouraged — just be respectful of everyone’s privacy.
4. No Extra Guests
-
Only the client being serviced is allowed in the space.
-
A parent or guardian may accompany a child being serviced.
-
No friends, children, or extra guests are permitted due to limited space.
5. Time & Booking Policy
-
Client service hours are 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM.
-
Cleanup is from 10:00 PM – 11:00 PM (braiders only).
-
Clients must exit by 10:30 PM. Staying past this time will result in loss of booking privileges.
-
Plan your appointments carefully to allow enough time for both service and clean-up.
6. Sanitation & Cleanliness
-
All stations must be vacuumed, wiped down, and disinfected after each Reserved time slot (to avoid cleaning fees).
-
Braiders are responsible for disposing of their own trash and used materials.
-
Shared sanitation tools (vacuums, cleaners) are provided — use them properly and respectfully.
7. Portable Shampoo Bowl Policy
-
If you offer shampoo services, you must manually fill and empty the portable shampoo bowl using the provided carts.
-
Do not leave water sitting in the bowl or common areas.
-
Shampoo services require physical effort; only offer them if you’re able to handle the setup safely.
8. Respect Shared Space
-
This is an open salon layout with up to 3 braiders at a time. Total quiet cannot be guaranteed.
-
Be mindful of your volume, scents (smoke /Marijuana), and conversation. Keep energy peaceful and professional.
9. Braiding Services Only
-
Only braiding services (e.g., knotless braids, twists, crochet, faux locs) may be performed.
-
No services requiring a cosmetology or barber license are allowed — no cutting, coloring, or heat styling.
-
The Braiders Room is not a salon, but a braid-focused creative space.
10. No Overnight Storage
-
All belongings must be taken with you after your session. Do not leave behind hair, tools, bags, or trash.
-
We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items. Anything left behind will be discarded immediately.
11. Insurance Requirement
-
All braiders must carry active professional liability insurance.
-
Proof of insurance must be submitted prior to your first reservation and remain current.
-
No insurance = No booking. No exceptions.
